I’m here – even though I’ve been absent from my blog for quite awhile. Well, this time I do have a very good excuse (is there ever such a thing – hehe). But really I do. I do know some of you already know (especially those of you who I’ve to reschedule over the last few weeks), but I’m also getting quite a few emails, texts, facebook messages wondering where I am and (more importantly) where are your sneak peeks. So here it is…the beginning of October started with a BANG (not really a fun “bang” though). It’s a long story but it involves two surgeries within a week (an oral surgery and the other a major surgery – both unplanned). I wont go into details just in case it’s TMI (too much info), but if you really want to know I’ll tell you – just send me an email. Mentally, I’m feeling better than ever and ready to go. But physically, I’m still moving a little slower than I’m used to. I’m not quite 100% just yet, but I’m on my way.

And for everyone whose session I’ve had to reschedule and to those of you who are still waiting on “sneak peeks”…THANK YOU SO MUCH for understanding and being patient with me!!! And I really appreciate all the kind words and wishes for a speedy recovery.

Amanda ~ Bridal Session

Amanda was absolultely gorgeous in her wedding gown for her bridal session that we had at Forest Oaks park in Spring, Texas. I would love to show these to everyone…maybe I will after May 21, 2011 (Amanda and Al’s BIG DAY)! But for now, I can only give a private sneak peek to Amanda and whoever else she gives the password too. We don’t want the groom-to-be to see just yet.

So I really wanted to post a few of Lori “trick or treating” from Sunday. Lori made the cutest little bumble bee and had such a great time…I had fun watching her too (and eating her candy since she’s not really a candy eater)!

My plans were to download and edit them tonight. I had all my “business” taken care of, dinner cooked, and everything was ready for Tuesday. But as luck would have it…a wrench got thrown into the mix of things. Lori (whose finger had been in her nose all afternoon) finally told me around 7pm that she had a ROCK in her nose. WHAT????? We got the flashlight and sure enough something was there and waaaaayyyy up there. After trying to get it out ourselves, I made the executive decision to go to the emergency room (not my favorite place to be, but I’d rather have Lori be mad at the doctor with tweezers instead of the mommy or daddy with tweezers).

So long story short…not a rock, but an acorn bud (we think). She is fine and hopefully won’t stick anything in her nose for a long time (or ever again…crossing my fingers).

Yes, I know I’m posting this technically on Tuesday, but what a Monday it was. The “creeping crud” attacked our little family this past weekend. A sick baby makes everyone unhappy and then add a sick mommy to the mix and then it seems the whole world is falling apart. Slowly but surely we are recovering – I just wish I could bounce back as fast as Lori.

Anyhow, just a few “test shots” of Lori yesterday as I was getting prepared to photograph the Community Chamber of Commerce board members.
