This was a very special session for me and I was honored that I was asked to do it. I taught Lori in middle school way back when (she’s a sophomore at Texas Tech now). I promise that I’m not just saying this because I photographed Matt and Lori’s engagement session, but she was one of the best students I ever taught. The type of student that every middle school teacher dreams of (note that I said “dreams” of and not has nightmares about …. I had a few of those too;). Now don’t forget that I too have a “Lori”. Jason came up with my Lori’s name and one of the reasons I agreed to it was because of this Lori. I hope my Lori grows up to be beautiful, mature, funny, and intelligent… just like this Lori. As for Matt, I didn’t have the pleasure of teaching him but I’m betting he was a great student too. He was just so polite and friendly during the session. Not once did he complain about the heat or getting slapped in the face by tree branches on our “photo safari” golf-cart trip. I’m certain that Matt and Lori’s families are so proud and so happy for this young couple!!!
